What the field plate actually tells us

The photo identifies an Excalibur bagel divider, manufactured in June 2023. Some model digits are worn: confirm the complete model before treating this unit as an EAD-100. No complaint, repair or operating result has been supplied for this photographed machine.

These are readings from this particular plate, not a universal specification for every Excalibur divider. Do not size a circuit or order a replacement motor from a website summary. The complete unit identity and manufacturer documentation control those decisions.

Before the visit

Separate the production symptom from the component

Common request categories and KONGRA's assessment approach — not manufacturer failure statistics or diagnosed faults on the photographed unit.

Portion weight varies

Record the target weight and a series of actual portions. Note whether the variation begins with a different dough batch, after cleaning or as the machine warms up. This gives the technician a repeatable complaint rather than a guessed part.

Dough feed is interrupted

Describe whether the interruption is before the dividing stage or after it. Include whether dough delivery stops, output becomes irregular or the machine stops entirely. Do not reach into a feed opening to investigate.

Transfer or belt behavior changes

Identify the divider separately from any attached former or conveyor. Report slipping, sideways movement or a jam at the transfer point. Belt procedures depend on the actual section and model fitted.

Machine will not start or stops

Capture the control indication and when the stop occurs. Power, drive and protective-circuit assessment belongs to a qualified technician using the matching machine documentation; protective devices stay in service.

Unusual sound or vibration

Note whether it occurs with or without dough and whether it changes with production. Stop using equipment with an unsafe condition. A sound alone is not evidence for ordering a motor, bearing or dividing component.

Problems begin after sanitation

Describe what was cleaned or removed and when the symptom began. The photographed plate warns against pressure-water or steam cleaning and requires guards to be reinstalled after service. Do not infer a cleaning method from another machine.

Scope of work

The divider, former and conveyor are not interchangeable

Identify every section in a bagel line separately. A problem in transferring dough does not by itself establish a divider fault. Send an overview of the installed line, the divider nameplate and the plate on any attached former. This helps avoid applying the wrong belt diagram or part number.

For a useful first visit, send the observed symptom, when it started, recent cleaning or adjustments, equipment quantity and available access window. KONGRA confirms model coverage and diagnostic fees, documents the findings and provides a written estimate. Regulated work is accepted only within the confirmed legal and practical scope.

Documentation

Manuals & technical references

Model scope is shown with each source. An operating manual is not a substitute for a matching service manual or wiring diagram.

Excalibur — request matching documentation

Request the operation/service manual, electrical schematic and parts list for the complete model and serial. No verified public EAD-100 service manual was located; EAD-200 documents are not interchangeable.

FAQ

Excalibur service questions

Do you assess Excalibur EAD-100 bagel dividers?+

KONGRA reviews Excalibur bagel-divider service requests in the Bay Area, including EAD-100 requests. A readable model plate, the machine configuration and service-document match are confirmed before parts are selected or a repair scope is accepted.

Does this photograph confirm an EAD-100 model?+

Not conclusively. The field plate clearly identifies an Excalibur bagel divider, but some model digits are worn. EAD-100 is the model family discussed on this page, not an unconditional identification of the photographed unit.

Is an EAD-100 service manual available here?+

No verified public EAD-100 service manual or wiring diagram was located in this review. KONGRA does not substitute an EAD-200 or another manufacturer's manual. Matching documents and parts information should be requested from Excalibur using the full equipment identity.

Does inconsistent portion weight prove the divider is worn out?+

No. We first record the reported variation, dough batch and operating conditions, then separate feeding, dividing and transfer behavior during a scoped assessment. This is a diagnostic approach, not a claim that a specific component has failed.
